Google Calendar users in Northeast India and across the country are set to benefit from a new update that simplifies the management of multiple calendars, making it less likely for users to lose track of important events.

Enhanced Calendar Visibility

In a bid to improve organization and reduce user confusion, Google Calendar will now always display any secondary calendars owned by the user in the Settings list. This change follows last year's move to assign a dedicated owner to each secondary calendar.

Dedicated Ownership Model

Under the dedicated ownership model, every secondary calendar has a single owner responsible for its settings, permissions, and lifecycle. The new update ensures that ownership is more visible, closing a practical gap in the setup.

User-friendly Features

Google Calendar owners will still have the option to pin these calendars to their main calendar view if desired, or keep them tucked away in Settings for more focused management. From there, users can manage sharing, transfer ownership, or delete the calendar entirely for all subscribers.

Limitations and Considerations

Google recommends limiting ownership to no more than 100 calendars per user. For accounts exceeding this number, calendars will be added gradually to avoid performance issues. It's worth noting that users relying on Apple Calendar to manage Google calendars might need to manually enable owned calendars through Google's calendar sync page if they don't appear as expected.
