In a heartwarming gesture, the Hemolota Handique Trust (HHT) recently distributed school uniform sweaters to students of Kandhulimari Lower Primary School, located near Assam's Kaziranga National Park. The HHT, a distinguished organization led by Dr. Tapan Chandra Dutta, revisited the school in Golaghat district, marking a year since their last visit. During their previous visit, the Trust launched the My School, My Trees project, combining tree plantation with maintenance and aftercare.

The My School, My Trees project aims to sensitize lower primary students about the importance of trees in mitigating climate risks, such as reducing floods, preventing soil erosion, and saving wildlife. The students were involved in planting native trees donated by Kaziranga National Park, with local resident Rashmi Baruwa appointed as the Mother Tree to oversee planting, aftercare, and replanting if necessary.
