The annual midnight swim at the Crinoline swimming pool in Shillong, organized by Forever Young, marked the arrival of 2023 in a refreshing and invigorating manner.

The event saw the participation of 32 individuals, including three women, who braved the cold waters without any signs of intoxication. Among the participants, Michael Syiem, the organizer of the event, made a remarkable impression by diving into the pool despite a broken leg. His determination set an inspiring example for others.
Vicky Chaudhary, a close associate of Syiem, shared that the latter's courageous act was a testament to their shared commitment to the tradition since its inception in 1997.
