Guwahahati Asian Film Festival Returns with a Diverse Lineup
The second edition of the Guwahati Asian Film Festival (GAFF) is set to enrich the cultural landscape of North East India, promising an exciting celebration of Asian cinema from January 22-25, 2026.
Expanded Horizons
Following the successful debut of GAFF, the organizers aim to make the second edition even more grand, featuring 26 films, including eight competition entries, and a strong selection of international titles.
The opening film will be the Uzbekistan feature "Sunday," directed by Shokir Kholikov, while the closing film will be the Iranian feature "In the Land of Brothers," helmed by Alireza Ghasemi and Raha Amirfazli.
Honored Presence
The second edition of GAFF will be honored by the presence of legendary Indian filmmaker Girish Kasaravalli, who will grace the festival as the Chief Guest. Bollywood and Marathi film actress Sonali Kulkarni will be the special invited guest for the closing ceremony.

GAFF 2026 will showcase films from 10 Asian countries, including Vietnam, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Myanmar, Iran, Kazakhstan, and China.
