Opportunities Arise: Tripura University Recruits for Tech-Focused Projects

In a significant move towards technological advancement and empowerment of local artisans, Tripura University has announced job openings for various project-based positions in 2026. The recruitment drive is for the posts of Project Associate and Project/Field Assistant under the Tribal Area Sub Plan (TSP) Scheme funded by IBITF, IIT Bhilai.

Project Associate Positions

Tripura University is inviting applications for three Project Associate positions. Candidates with an M.E/M.Tech (CSE/IT) or equivalent, preferably with good knowledge on Blockchain Technology/ FinTech, are eligible to apply. Alternatively, candidates with an ORBE/BTech (CSE/IT)/MCA or equivalent, preferably with experience on Software/Mobile App Development, can also apply. The monthly emoluments for these positions range from INR 31,000 to INR 25,000, depending on whether the candidate possesses GATE/NET qualifications.

Relevance to North East India

The focus on Blockchain Technology and FinTech, along with Software/Mobile App Development, aligns with the broader digital transformation efforts underway across India. For the North East region, this initiative could potentially boost local artisan empowerment, enhance digital literacy, and foster economic growth.

Project/Field Assistant Position

One position for a Project/Field Assistant is also open. Minimum graduate degree holders, preferably with good knowledge on Software/Mobile App Development or survey capability in remote Tribal populated areas of Tripura, are encouraged to apply. The monthly emoluments for this position is INR 20,000, with admissible HRA.
