ITBP's Civic Action Programme Offers Medical Aid and Solar Lamps to Northeast Villagers
In a commendable display of community service, the 59th Battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) recently conducted a medical camp in Lada village, Bichom district. This initiative, part of the ITBP's civic action programme, aimed to provide much-needed medical assistance to the villagers.
Medical Treatment and Consultations
Deputy Commandant and Senior Medical Officer Dr Rishabh led the team of medical professionals who treated and consulted with a large number of patients suffering from various ailments. The patients were provided with necessary medications free of cost.
Improving Village Living Conditions
Beyond medical aid, the ITBP's initiative also focused on enhancing the living conditions of the villagers. Thermoware solar lamps were distributed among the residents, providing them with a sustainable source of light.
Significance for Northeast India and Beyond
Such initiatives not only improve the quality of life for the affected communities but also demonstrate the commitment of our security forces towards the well-being of the people they serve. In the broader context of Northeast India, such acts of service strengthen the bond between the armed forces and the local population, fostering peace and harmony.
Looking Forward
As we move forward, it is crucial that such initiatives continue to be a priority for our security forces. By addressing the health and living conditions of the people in remote areas, we can help build a stronger and more resilient India.
