Ensuring Road Safety in Lower Dibang Valley
In an effort to maintain law and order on the roads, a coordination meeting was held recently in Roing, Arunachal Pradesh. The meeting, chaired by Superintendent of Police Manish Shaurya, aimed to address the growing concern of traffic violations in the Lower Dibang Valley district.
Identifying Traffic Offenses
During the meeting, it was revealed that several traffic offenses are prevalent in the district, such as plying vehicles without number plates, non-wearing of helmets, violations of no-parking zones, rash and negligent driving, and incidents of drunken driving.
Enforcing Strict Measures
In light of the upcoming Road Safety Month, the superintendent of police has instructed the Traffic Wing to conduct a special traffic enforcement drive across the district. This drive aims to ensure strict compliance with traffic rules and regulations, with violators facing penalties such as monetary fines, suspension or disqualification of driving licenses, vehicle impounding, and imprisonment in serious cases.
Educating the Public
To complement the enforcement drive, a public awareness and advisory campaign will be conducted to educate citizens about traffic rules, penalties, and the importance of responsible driving. This initiative is intended to foster a safer driving environment and protect human life.
