Boosting Sanitation Services in Lower Subansiri District
In a significant move towards improving public health and environmental sustainability, the Lower Subansiri district administration has partnered with the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and the District Health Society for a sanitation project under IOCL's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Financial Assistance and Project Implementation
Under the agreement, IOCL will provide a financial assistance of Rs 63.98 lakh for the procurement of four hydraulic tipper garbage vehicles for Lower Subansiri district. The District Health Society, a registered CSR implementing agency, will oversee the project's implementation.
Strengthening Solid Waste Management
The initiative aims to enhance solid waste management and sanitation services in public places across the district, thereby promoting cleanliness and hygiene. This is expected to contribute to a healthier and more livable environment for the district's residents.

The Society for Multi-Dimensional, Innovative, Lead for Education and Environment (SMILE), Ziro, played a crucial role in facilitating the signing of the MoA.
