In a significant milestone, Arunachal Pradesh has clinched the top spot in India's startup ecosystem, according to the National Startup Ranking Framework (NSRF). This recognition comes as a testament to the state's relentless efforts to foster a vibrant startup culture in a geographically challenging environment.
A Journey of Improvement
Arunachal Pradesh's journey to the pinnacle began in its inaugural year of participation, when it was awarded the leader ranking. The following year, it was honored as the top performer, and since then, the state has consistently improved its position, culminating in this year's highest recognition.
North East India's Startup Pioneer
This national recognition positions Arunachal Pradesh among the foremost champions of India's startup movement, sharing the premier best performer distinction with Goa and Gujarat. For the North East region, this achievement signifies a significant step towards economic growth and self-reliance.
The APIIP's Role
The Arunachal Pradesh Innovation & Investment Park (APIIP) played a pivotal role in this success. Under the leadership of CEO Tabe Haidar, the APIIP has incubated 106 startups since its establishment in 2021, with another 50 currently in incubation.
