The essential qualification for this position is a B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech./M.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Design and Manufacturing, Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical and Polymer Engineering, Plastic Engineering, or Polymer Technology. The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 30,000.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Positions
NIT Silchar also invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow under the SERB project titled "Automation scope in fabricating biodegradable super-hydrophobic composite using banana pseudostem fiber and beeswax for sustainable packaging applications." This project aims to develop a sustainable, biodegradable, and super-hydrophobic composite for use in packaging.
The essential qualification for this position is a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course, selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET/GATE) or other National level examinations conducted by DST, DRDO, IISC, IIT, IISER, etc., as per the Office Memorandum for Revision of Research Emoluments from the Government of India, Ministry of Science & Technology. The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 37,000 for the first two years as JRF and Rs. 42,000 thereafter as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF).
