Assam's Bagurumba Dance: A Cultural Milestone

On January 17, Sarma reviewed the final rehearsal of Bagurumba Dwhou at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex in Sarusajai, Guwahati. He lauded the artistes' dedication, discipline, and hard work throughout the month-long rehearsal process.
The Grand Event
The grand event, scheduled to take place in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will feature more than 10,000 artistes from various parts of the state performing together. Incentives for Participants
Sarma announced incentives for participants, including certificates of proficiency and skill at the district level and an honorarium of Rs 25,000 as a mark of recognition and encouragement. Master trainers and choreographers associated with the training process will be felicitated with Rs 50,000 each.

Sarma reiterated the state government's commitment to promoting indigenous art forms and ensuring that traditional cultural expressions receive national and global visibility. The grand presentation of Bodo culture showcased at Bagurumba Dwhou will also be taken to New Delhi in the future.
