Skill Showcase: Northeast India's Talent at the IndiaSkills Regional Competition
Three young talents from Arunachal Pradesh have recently made their mark in the skilling arena, competing against peers from across the Northeastern region at the IndiaSkills Regional Competition 2025-26. This event, held for the first time in the region, offers an exceptional platform for showcasing and nurturing local talent.

The competition, organized by the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry and the National Skill Development Corporation, features a diverse range of contemporary and traditional skill areas, including automobile technology, cloud computing, and hospitality services. The participation of women in core technical and traditionally male-dominated trades is particularly noteworthy, as is the strong convergence of digital skills with manufacturing and services.

The IndiaSkills competition follows a structured, multi-tier evaluation process, starting from the district level and culminating in the national competition. Winners of this prestigious event have the opportunity to represent India at the WorldSkills Competition, which will be held in Shanghai in September 2023.
