Empowering Future Generations: Veer Baal Diwas in Papum Pare

In a heartwarming display of unity and celebration, the Women & Child Development (WCD) Department, in collaboration with the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) project, organized Veer Baal Diwas 2025 in the Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh. This event, held at the Government Middle School in Tigdo, aimed to honor the courage, sacrifice, and exemplary values of the veer baal sahibzadas, emphasizing the crucial role of children in nation-building.

Promoting Creativity and Teamwork

The day was filled with various activities designed to foster creativity, physical fitness, teamwork, and joyful learning among the students from anganwadi centres under the ICDS project and the Tigdo middle school. Relay races, balloon games, drawing and painting competitions, and more encouraged the children to work together and showcase their talents.

Recognizing and Rewarding Participation

A prize distribution ceremony was held to felicitate the winners with prizes and certificates, while all students received participation certificates in appreciation of their active involvement. This recognition served as a powerful motivator for the children, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence.

Collaborative Efforts for a Successful Event

The smooth conduct of the programme was ensured by key personnel, including CDPO (HQ) Ojing Talom, SCPS programme manager Konchok Dolma, Sonam Y Khamba from the WCD Department, Doimukh CDPO Maya Murtem, and the teaching staff of the school. Their collective efforts made Veer Baal Diwas 2025 a memorable and successful event.

Relevance to North East and India

The importance of nurturing children with care, values, and opportunities is a shared concern across India, with special relevance to the North East region. By fostering an environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and learning, events like Veer Baal Diwas contribute to the development of future leaders who can shape a better tomorrow for our diverse and vibrant nation.

Looking Ahead: Nurturing a Brighter Future

As we reflect on Veer Baal Diwas 2025, it is essential to remember the role we all play in shaping the lives of our children. By continuing to support initiatives that foster their growth and development, we can help create a brighter future for Arunachal Pradesh, the North East, and India as a whole.
