A Significant Milestone in Indian Faith and History
On the 31st of December 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant milestone in Indian faith and history as he extended greetings to the nation on the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram at Ayodhya's Ram Mandir.
A Festival of Faith and Traditions
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is commemorating the second anniversary of Ram Lalla's Pran Pratishtha, an event that occurred on the Dwadashi of Paush Shukla Paksha in 2024. The idol was consecrated on January 22, 2024, during a historic ceremony led by Prime Minister Modi.
Continuing Devotion and Inspiration
PM Modi, in a post on X, emphasized the importance of the occasion, calling it a "divine festival of our faith and traditions." He offered his "crores of salutations and obeisance at the feet of Lord Shri Ram!" and extended his best wishes to all the countrymen.
The Prime Minister's visit to the historic temple on November 25 for the Dhwajarohan (flag-hoisting ceremony) signified the completion of Ram Mandir. He expressed his gratitude for the boundless grace and blessings of Lord Ram, stating that the five-century-old resolve of countless Ram devotees had been fulfilled.
Looking Forward: Atmanirbhar Bharat
PM Modi encouraged the nation to draw inspiration from Lord Ram, known as Maryada Purushottam, and strive towards creating an Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). He hoped that the inspiration from the Maryada Purushottam would deepen the sentiment of service, dedication, and compassion in the heart of every citizen, thereby becoming a strong foundation for building a prosperous and self-reliant India.
Relevance to the North East Region and Beyond
The consecration of the Ram Mandir holds great significance for India as a whole, including the North East region, as it symbolizes unity, faith, and the fulfillment of a long-standing resolve. The event serves as a reminder of the shared cultural and religious heritage that binds the diverse Indian population together.
Reflections and Future Prospects
As the main events for the second anniversary celebrations unfold, it is essential to reflect on the significance of the Ram Mandir and its role in fostering unity and promoting shared values. Moving forward, it is crucial to maintain this spirit of unity and cooperation in our daily lives, thereby contributing to a more harmonious and prosperous India.
