Bangladesh's Safety Concerns Prompt T20 World Cup Game Shift Request
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has initiated a move to shift their T20 World Cup league matches from India to Sri Lanka due to concerns about player safety following the removal of Mustafizur Rahman from the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan, released Rahman, who was bought for Rs 9.20 crore, in compliance with the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) directive. The BCB, however, has remained silent on the issue after an emergency board meeting.
Government adviser Asif Nazrul, in a Facebook post, directed the BCB to approach the International Cricket Council (ICC) to shift Bangladesh's four league matches to Sri Lanka. He emphasized that if a Bangladeshi cricketer cannot play in India, then the national team cannot feel safe traveling to India for the World Cup.
