Innovative Smart Lock Debuts at CES 2026

A Game-Changing Smart Lock: The Lockin V7 Max at CES 2026

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada, has always been a hotbed for technological advancements. This year, a new smart lock from Lockin is turning heads with its innovative charging technology and enhanced security features.

Unique Wireless Optical Charging

The Lockin V7 Max smart lock introduces a unique charging technology called AuraCharge, which eliminates the need for disposable and rechargeable batteries. This smart lock receives power wirelessly from an optical output device within four meters' distance, using a controlled light beam that reaches the lock's receiver and converts it into electricity.

Enhanced Security Features

Security is a top priority for Lockin. The V7 Max supports multiple biometric security measures, including fingerprint, palm vein recognition, and 3D facial recognition. The smart lock is equipped with two HD exterior cameras that provide a panoramic view, functioning like a video doorbell. Additionally, the V7 Max features dual five-inch touchscreens for enhanced visibility.

Relevance to North East India and Broader Indian Context

While the Lockin V7 Max is being unveiled in the US market, the implications of this innovative technology extend beyond borders. As smart homes and security systems gain popularity in India, the demand for energy-efficient, low-maintenance devices is on the rise. The Lockin V7 Max could potentially pave the way for a new generation of smart home devices tailored to the Indian market.

Affordable Alternative: Lockin Veno Pro

In addition to the V7 Max, Lockin is also releasing the Veno Pro smart deadbolt. While it lacks some of the V7 Max's features, the Veno Pro still offers palm vein recognition, passcode, remote, and fingerprint unlocking mechanisms, and doubles as a video doorbell. The Veno Pro is expected to cost around $350 and will be available in the US market this year.

Looking Forward

The Lockin V7 Max and Veno Pro represent a significant leap forward in smart home technology. With their unique charging technology and enhanced security features, these smart locks could redefine the standards for home security systems. As CES 2026 continues to showcase groundbreaking innovations, the Lockin smart locks are poised to make a lasting impact on the smart home market.
