These malicious programs, discovered by researchers at Dr.Web and Checkpoint, operate covertly, draining device resources and compromising user privacy.

Machine Learning Malware: A New Twist

The more recently discovered malware, as yet unnamed, employs the TensorFlow.js library, a machine learning tool included in Android devices by Google. When activated, this malware opens a virtual display to click on ads, using machine learning processes to make the clicks appear natural. This malicious activity negatively impacts device performance and battery life.

Permanent Livestream and Infected Apps

In addition, the malware opens a permanent livestream to the device, allowing attackers to interact with the virtual display as needed. Notably, the apps associated with this malware are found on Xiaomi's GetApps software catalogue, as well as third-party AP sites like Apkmody and Moddroid.
