Tech Stack and Resolution Challenges
Built with Next.js App Router, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and SWR for client-side fetching and caching, ZenPN demonstrates the power of modern web development tools.
One of the most challenging aspects of developing ZenPN was resolving RSS feeds to clean publisher URLs. Extracting these URLs from aggregated feeds proved trickier than expected due to redirect chains, embedded URLs, and junk endpoints.
Improvements and Future Plans
The creator of ZenPN is planning to improve the watchlist feature, implement a better market ticker, and enhance news relevance by query tuning per ticker to avoid ambiguous keywords.
